More than that. Churches in Palestine own houses, shops, schools and pieces of land other than the lands they were built on. They try to take everything and lots of legal arguments in courts take place because of that.

The most furious attack on the Church of Nativity was in 2004 . It was besieged by tanks and people were left without food and water. They had to eat tree leaves and some were shot. This happened because some freedom fighters ran taking shelter in it thinking it wouldn’t be bombed. The priests refused to turn them in and said they would rather die with them. Finally an agreement took place and they were expelled to Italy. Before a few months the near neighbourhood houses were attacked and bullets always hit the church.
An important information you should know. The keys of the Resurrection Church are kept with a Muslim family who open and close it everyday since the early days of Islamic fath of Palestine. They were about to be given back to the Christians by the Muslim khaleph Omar Bin Alkhattab but the Christians in Jerusalem refused and said it would be better protected by the Muslims.
What is important in our case is not Jews or Muslims, it is right and wrong.
We do not have a problem with Jews, but we do have a problem with Israelis all over the world.
